I had to think really hard about this post (I know you can’t believe I can actually think lol) because I have lots of childhood memories some happy, some sad, some funny and some not so funny. So choosing which one or ones to write about was tricky.
So what I decided to do was write one memory for the four different categories I listed above so I will start with Happy as I don’t want to bring you all down before you have got further than the 1st paragraph.
EARLIEST HAPPY MEMORY:
I would say my earliest happy memory was going to Walt Disney World for the first time with my mum, dad and brother. I was only 3 at the time so I don’t remember everything but I do remember that I loved it, Well by looking at old photo’s I could tell I loved it apart from the characters as I never have liked dressed up people and I still don’t. The one memory I do have of that trip is walking towards the castle at one of the parks and being absolutely amazed because to me at 3 years old it was all real.
SAD CHILDHOOD MEMORY:
So I would probably say my saddest childhood memory is visiting my grandad in hospital whilst he was fighting cancer. I was very young at the time maybe 3 or 4 so obviously I wasn’t aware that he was seriously poorly I just wanted him to come home and he did because he was a tough cookie was my grandad abd he always but on a brave face no matter how much pain he was in or how ill he felt he was always happy to see us and we was always happy to see him.
FUNNY CHILDHOOD MEMORY:
I don’t know if this is my earliest funny memory but it is always the one that comes to mind whenever I have a memory about my grandad.
We went on holiday to Walt Disney World with my mum, dad, brother, grandma and grandad for my dads 40th birthday and we went to seaworld (this was when i was 7ish maybe 6 so a long time ago before we knew the truth about seaworld) and we went on the journey to Atlantic ride and my grandad announced to us all that he was going to sit on his hat so his bum didn’t get wet (for those of you who don’t know it is a water ride) literally the first corner we went around on the ride the water literally splashed over the side and soaked him through the only part of him that was dry when he got off was his cap! (This may not be funny to you guys but to me it is a memory about my grandad that I cherish!)
NOT SO FUNNY MEMORY:
When we was little we spent a lot of time at my grandma and grandad’s house as my mum and dad both had to work. On this particular day we must have been doing some baking with my grandma and I wasn’t given any dough to use or make shapes out of so after sitting there for a while being ignored I grabbed some of my brothers massive pile of dough and I just remember getting really told off for taking some of my brothers dough even tho I was only 2 or 3 at the time and wasn’t given any so obviously I got fed and decided to get my own dough to play with!
That is just four of the memories I remember about my childhood I do have more but these four was the ones that came to me first when I was having a think about my memories so these are the ones I thought I would share with you all.
Thank you for taking time to read my post.
