The Lion King – Review !

So today was the release of the new Lion King and I wasn’t going to miss out on seeing it on it’s 1st day out as it is my number one all time favourite Disney movie so I was a little concerned that they was going to ruin it but I can safely say I really impressed by the remake.

It had humour for both adults and kids, the colours were so eye catching and bright, The story hasn’t really changed it’s just had a few things added to it to make it a little different from the original but nothing serious and the reality of the characters was incredible.

It was like watching a documentary of the animals but they can talk and sing and some even do a little dance.

Timon and Pumbaa are a hilarious pair like in the original but even funnier as they have brilliant banter between each other. I was nearly crying with laughter at some parts with those two in.

I am so glad they didn’t change any of the original songs well the lyrics they did change the style of the song a little but it still works and I am a really hard person to please especially when it comes to The Lion King and I can’t fault it tbh.

We took Milly who is 3 and a half and she did love it but I think it was a bit long for Milly as it was on for nearly two hours and her attention span for movies is about an hour and a half maximum.

She was a little scared of the scenes with Scar but apart from that she did really well and did very well.

Beyoncé is the voice of Nala and I thought she really brought out the individuality in her character. Nala is all about girl power and so is Beyoncé so that’s why it works so well.

Seth Rogen and Billy Elchner who do the voices of Timon and Pumbaa just smashed it out of the park if they aren’t friends in real life then I would be shocked because the way the bounced off each other was just awsome… I would actually even say they made the movie if they wasn’t in it I don’t think I would have rated it as highly.

Donald Glover voiced Simba and it really worked well he did Simba’s character proud I was really impressed with how well his voice worked with the character’s personality and moods. I think it was the perfect match on that one. Great job done by all involved.

Chiwetel Ejiofor was the voice of Scar and my god did he do that role justice! Of course the bad guy was played by an English actor as always 🤣 but he really got into character even I was scared of Scar. Bravo Chiwetel 👏

All in all it was very well made, super enjoyable and we all loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone who asks.

All the characters were so well cast and voiced I was really impressed! Favourite Disney movie of all time still and my favourite of the re-releases so far.

So if you are looking for something to do on a rainy day with the kids take them to see The Lion King in the summer holidays everyone will love it.

If I was giving it a star rating I would definitely give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

That’s all for today! Hope you enjoyed my review.
